Reise 3 (2008)

I was in Japan twice before, but never during cherry blossom. My third reason is for just for this reason. It is difficult to catch the blossom, because it only last 2 weeks. It is easy to miss it, specially if you have to plan several weeks ahead. If I miss it, the hole journey is useless. Therefore I planned a second reason: the big festivals in Hida-Takayama and Nikko. I will also visit the north of Honshu, Tohoku (Sendai und Morioka).

No second chance for a first impression. / This chapter of the blog is taken from my hand written travel journal. I write them since my first trip to Japan, because the is more to remember than zou can put into pictures. Ok, the journals of my second and third trip are by far not that colorful than the first one. No second chance for a first impression.

Like in the 2012 blog I will stick to a limit of 12 pictures, with some exceptions. I will add some pictures of the food you will find in Japan. Food is an important aspect of Japan.
