Montag, 29. April 2024 – Flug nach Porto<\/h3>\n

Der Urlaub startete als Portugal<\/a>trip, aber irgendwie sind wir nur 48 Stunden in Porto<\/a>. Den Rest der Zeit werden wir durch den Norden Spaniens<\/a> reisen, genauer geagt durch Galicien<\/a> und Asturien<\/a>. Sprachlich wird es interessant. Die Sprache in Galicien ist ein Mischung aus Portugisisch und Spanisch.<\/p>\n

Aber wir starten mit einem Lufthansaflug von Frankfurt nach Porto. Und wie sollte es anders sein. Irgendwie ist der Standardkoffer zu gro\u00df f\u00fcr diese neumodischen Checkin-Automaten, also m\u00fcssen wir zum Sperrgep\u00e4ckschalter. Der Flieger hat dann nat\u00fcrlich 20 Minuten Versp\u00e4tung.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The vacation started as a trip to Portugal, but somehow we are only in Porto for 48 hours. The rest of the time we will be traveling through the north of Spain, more precisely through Galicia and Asturias. Linguistically, it will be interesting. The language in Galicia is a mixture of Portuguese and Spanish.<\/span><\/p>\n

But we start with a Lufthansa flight from Frankfurt to Porto. And how could it be otherwise? Somehow the standard suitcase is too big for these new-fangled check-in machines, so we have to go to the bulky baggage counter. The plane is of course 20 minutes late.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

Umso entspannter ist die Abholung des Mietwagen in Porto und die Fahrt zum ersten Hotel namens Koolhouse, nahe der Case de Musicia. Das Hotel hat keine Rezeption. Alles geht \u00fcber eMails und Keypads. Ein kleine Haus, k\u00f6nnte etwas Farbe vertragen. Innen ist es gem\u00fctlich, aber nicht so unique wie Hotel am Berg.<\/p>\n

Zum Abendessen geht es zum Camada Porto Boavista<\/em><\/a>. Hier bestelle ich nat\u00fcrlich sofort Francesinha<\/a>. Jedes Restaurant hat sein eigenes Rezept. Es ist immer anders. Es ist irgendwo zwischen einem Sandwich mit So\u00dfe, Toast Hawaii und LocoMoco. Wer es noch nicht probiert hat, hat etwas verpasst. Es ist Soulfood. Dazu genie\u00dfen wir ein Castelain Gran Cru<\/a>, ein Bier aus Frankreich; selten dass eine Bierflasche mit Korken und in einem Weink\u00fchler daherkommt.<\/p>\n<\/div>

This makes picking up the rental car in Porto and driving to the first hotel, Koolhouse, near the Case de Musicia, all the more relaxed. The hotel has no reception. Everything is done via email and keypads. A small house that could do with some color. Inside it is cozy, but not as unique as Hotel am Berg.<\/span><\/p>\n

We head to Camada Porto Boavista for dinner. Here, of course, I immediately order Francesinha. Every restaurant has its own recipe. It’s always different. It’s somewhere between a sandwich with sauce, toast Hawaii and LocoMoco. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out. It’s soul food. We enjoy it with a Castelain Gran Cru, a beer from France; it’s rare that a beer bottle comes with a cork and in a wine cooler.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
