Das Hotel ist ein Business-Hotel. Das ist in Japan die Bezeichnung f\u00fcr ein einfache, gute Hotel zu einem g\u00fcstigen Preis. Mein Zimmer war ein einfaches Tatamizimmer, das aber all meinen Belangen hinreichte. Ein eigenes Badezimmer mit Dusche wurde erg\u00e4nzt durch ein Ryokan Onsen, indem man sich abends entspannen konnte. \/ This is a business hotel. In Japan theses are simple equiped but good hotels for a fair price. My room was a tatami room. This always meets my requirements. I had a private bath and toilet. And there was a small Ryokan Onsen available.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Umgebung:<\/em><\/strong> Das Hotel liegt westlich vom Bahnhof. Um das Hotel herum ist nicht viel los. Es gibt einige Kneipen und Restos f\u00fcr das Abendprogramm. Das Touristenprogramm spielt sich aber \u00f6stlich des Bahnhofes ab. Die Lage ist also etwas ung\u00fcstig. Aber die N\u00e4he zum Bahnnhof hat seine Vorz\u00fcge, wenn man Dinge au\u00dferhalb von Nagoya besichtigen will. \/ Surrounding:<\/strong> The hotel ist west from the train station. A residential area. Nothing so see. There some restos and Izakaya, but no tourist attractions (they are all east of the station) or amusement district (like in Ueno, Tokyo).\u00a0 Therefore it maybe not the best location, but you are really close to the station.\u00a0 A big benefit, if you plan daytrips outside Nagoya.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Wegbeschreibung:<\/em><\/strong> Die Strecke vom Bahnhof (5-8 Fu\u00dfminuten) kann man mit einem Rollkoffer gut zu Fu\u00df zur\u00fccklegen. Am Bahnhof den Westausgang nehmen. Die beiden Hochh\u00e4user sind dann auf der anderen Seite der Gleise. Der gro\u00dfen Stra\u00dfe, an deren Ecke „Bic Camera“ ist, folgen. An der vierten Ampel (bei Bic Camera ist die Eins) rechts abbiegen. Wenn ihr am Family Mart vorbeikommt, seid ihr zu weit. Das Hotel ist an der zweiten Stra\u00dfeneinm\u00fcndung links, kurz vor dem Spielplatz. \/ Getting there:<\/strong> You can walk the distance (5-8 min). Use the West exit. You are correct if the two skyscaper are behind the tracks. There is a big street in front of you. At the corner is „Bic Camera“. Follow that street until the 4th traffic light (the one at Bic camera is No.1). If you pass a Family Mart you walked to far. Turn right. The hotel ist on the second junction on the left. Behind the hotel is a playground.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Das Asunaro ist in einem alten Samuraihaus untergebraucht. Allein die Lobby mit den dunklen H\u00f6lzern und der Tatamiecke mit Feuerstelle ist ein Hingucker. Ich hatte ein Tatamizimmer mit Dusch. Mehr braucht man nicht. Der Blick aus dem Fenster war auf einen gro\u00dfen Parkplatz. Aber zum Gl\u00fcck gibt es die Papierschiebew\u00e4nde. \/ The Asunaro is located in an old samurai house. The lobby is an eye catcher: dark wood, a fire place with tatami. All you need. But don’t look out the window. At my room there was a big parking lot. Close the japanese paper slider. It works. You are back in old times. My room provided a nice tatami room and a private bathroom (the famous cubicle).<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Umgebung:<\/em><\/strong> Das Asunaro liegt etwas abseits der alten H\u00e4user. Mal l\u00e4uft etwa 5-8 Minuten. Die Umgebung gibt auch nicht viel her. Zur Ginza (halb\u00fcberdachte Shoppingstra\u00dfe) sind es 3 Minuten zu Fu\u00df. Daf\u00fcr sind es auch nur 8 Minuten zum Bahnhof. Bei Tripadvisor gab es f\u00fcr die ung\u00fcnstige Lage die meisten Minuspunkte. Kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Man sieht doch vorher auf der Karte wo es ist. \/ Surrounding<\/strong><\/em>:<\/strong> The Ryokan is a little bit outside the area with the old houses. You have to walk at least 5-8 minutes. Around the ryokan there is not much to visit. The shopping street ist 3 minutes away. But the train station is also in 8 min walking distance. At Tripadvisor there were some negative points for the location. I can understand somehow. But hey, check the map before you book a ryokan and don’t complain about the location afterwards.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Wegbeschreibung: <\/em><\/strong>Die Entfernung zum Bahnhof ist gerade eben noch akzeptabel f\u00fcr einen Fu\u00dfmarsch. Wenn ihr aus dem Bahnhof kommt, links abbiegen. An der ersten Ampel nach rechts. An der n\u00e4chsten Ampel nach links. An der n\u00e4chsten Kreuzung mit Ampel m\u00fc\u00dftet ihr es schon auf der linken Seite (ca. 30m hinter besagter Kreuzung) sehen. \/ Getting there:<\/strong><\/em> The distance is walkable but you might get a taxi. Leaving the train station follow the road to the left. On the first traffic light turn right and on the next traffic light left. At the next traffic light you should see the ryokan on the left side.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Das Nikko Kanaya war das erste Hotel im westlichen Stil in Japan. Wenn man das Hauptgeb\u00e4ude betritt, unterschreibt man das sofort. Es ist wie ein Sprung ins viktorianische England (allerdings mit kleine japanischen Details). Das Hauptgeb\u00e4ude, in dem mein Zimmer war, ist noch so wie vor hundert Jahren. Was allerdings den Nachteil hat, das die Dielen qietschen und die Haustechnik (Heizung und Klimaanlage) auch schon einige Jahre auf dem Buckel hat. In Deutschland w\u00fcrde man von „Renovierungsstau“ sprechen. Ich mag es wie es ist. Aber bei Tripadvisor gibt auch negative Kritiken. \/ The Nikko Kanaya was the first western style hotel in Japan. If you enter the main building, you agree without a doubt. It is like a time jump into victorian England (with some japanese details). The main building, where my room was located, is still like hundred years ago, with all the benefits and disadvantages: noisy floors, old central heating. You really need to update things, but I liked it like it was. Maybe there are some critics on tripadvisor, but that is not fair.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Der Speisesaal ist schon vornehm. Noch stylischer ist die Dacite Bar. Sie schreit nach Jazzmusik und Whiskey. Das ganze hat seinen Preis. Japan ist ohnehin nicht billig und f\u00fcr das Kanaya mu\u00df man richtig hinlangen. Wer den alten Charm nicht mag, wird das Preis\/Leistung-Verh\u00e4ltnis nicht gut finden. Der Service ist aber alleman sein Geld wert. \/ The dining room is stylish. But the cherrhy on top is the Dacite Bar. It’s design is calling for Jazz music and whiskey. But all this has its price. And Japan is not cheap in the first. In Kanaya you really can spend your travel money. But it is worth every yen.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Umgebung:<\/em><\/strong> Das Kanaya liegt exakt am Eingang zum Tempelbereich in Nikko. 2 Fu\u00dfminuten. Dichter ran geht nur noch, wenn man auf dem Gel\u00e4nde selbst wohnt. Direkt vor der Einfahrt ist auch die Bushaltestelle. Busse fahren von hier in die Berge und nach Chuzenji. Zudem gibt es einen Hotel-Shuttle zum Kanaya-Hotel am Chuzenji. \/ Surrounding:<\/strong> The Kanaya is right in front of the temple area. You have to walk 2 minutes. In front of the hotel is a bus stop. Busses also go into the mountains at Chuzenji and to the Falls. There is also a hotel shuttle to the Kanaya hotel at Chuzenji.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Wegbeschreibung:<\/em> Es ist zu weit zum Laufen. Nehmt euch ein Taxi oder sagt dem Hotel, wann ihr am Bahnhof (und an welchem, es gibt zwei) eintrefft. Die schicken dann Shuttle. Wer dennoch laufen will, folgt einfach der langen Stra\u00dfe vom Bahnhof zum Tempelbezirk. Kurz vor der Kreuzung geht es links sehr steil die Hang hinauf. \/ Getting there<\/strong>: Get a taxi or wait for a bus. It is to far from the train station to walk. If you want to, just follow the main road to the temple area until it ends. The hotel is on the left side 40m before the junction. From there it is a small steep walk uphill. You can also tell the hotel when you will arrive. They will pick you up.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Das Ryokan liegt zwar im Zentrum Sendais aber abseits der Touristenpfade.\u00a0 Es ist so gut versteckt, da\u00df mein Taxifaher suchen mu\u00dfte. Wir haben es erst entdeckt, als wir quasi schon davor standen. Das Ryokan ist klein und die Zimmer sind sehr einfach gehalten. Es bietet aber alles was man braucht und gl\u00fccklich sein. Mich hat nur gest\u00f6rt, da\u00df ich nicht mein eigenes Badezimmer hatte. Das wu\u00dfte ich aber vorher. Es gibt ein Ryokan Onsen, da\u00df leider den optischen Charme eines Onsen vermissen l\u00e4\u00dft, was aber der Entspannenden Wirkung keinen Abbruch tut. \/ This ryokan is in the center of the city Sendai but a little bit away from the touristic paths. And it is hidden good in second row. Even the taxi driver had a hard time to find it. The room was small and, like always, very functional. The only disadvantage for me was, to not have my own bath room. But I knew before. Therefore, no negative points. And there was a ryokan onsen. Not the same charme like the original one but still relaxing.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Umgebung:<\/strong> Nichts. An der 48 liegen ein paar Restos und auch in der n\u00e4heren Umgebung gibt es immer wieder ein paar kleinere L\u00e4den, aber prinzipiell ist es um das Ryokan herum sehr ruhig. \/ Surroundigs:<\/strong> Nothing. At highway 48 there are some restos and the smaller shops. Otherwise it is very quit arround the ryokan. The hospital is close by.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Wegbeschreibung:<\/strong>\u00a0 Nehmt euch ein Taxi. Und dann ist es etwa: 2 U-Bahnstationen nach Norden bis zur Bundesstra\u00dfe 48. Nach links abbiegen Richtung Uniklinikum und dann irgendwann noch vor dem Klinikum links in eine von diesen Nebenstra\u00dfen. Ich kriege es nicht mehr zusammen. \/ Getting There:<\/strong> Get a taxi. The ryokan is 2 subway stations to the north and the you have to follow the 48 to the left. A few hundred meters before the hospital turn left into one of the narrrow streets (I cannot remember which one). The roykan was right handed side in second row.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Es macht von au\u00dfen nicht viel her und auch die Lobby wirkt auf den ersten Blick etwas k\u00fchl. Aber wenn man erst einmal im Tatamizimmer angekommen ist, ist das auch egal. Bucht das Zimmer mit Abendessen. Ich wei\u00df, da\u00df es teuer ist. Aber schaut euch die Fotos im Blog an. Mehr geht nicht. Das Hotel hat ein Onsen indem man ideal entspannen kann. Vom Au\u00dfenbecken aus kann man \u00fcber den See blicken.<\/p>\n

Umgebung:<\/strong> Tsunagi liegt etwas ab vom Schu\u00df. F\u00fcr Leute, die Morioka erkunden wollen ist der Ort nichts. Es gibt zwar einen Bus, aber der f\u00e4hrt auch nicht so oft und braucht 25 Minunten. Der Ort ist also eher f\u00fcr entspanntes Nichtstun. Auch der Akita-Shinkansen liegt etwas zu weit weg. Ich wurde vom Personal gefahren. Den Luxus kann ich euch nicht garantieren. \/ Surroundings:<\/strong> Tsunagi is a remote place. For people that want to visit Morioka this place is not good. The bus connection is infrequent and takes 25 minutes. It is more place for hiking and doing nothing. Also the Akita-Shinkansen is to far away. The hotel personal drove me to the station. This kind of special service I cannot guarantee.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Wegbeschreibung:<\/strong> Das Sansui kann man gar nicht verfehlen. Der Bus f\u00e4hrt \u00fcber die Br\u00fccke und stoppt unten an der Hauptstra\u00dfe an einem Family Mart (?). Die Stra\u00dfe einfach bergauf zu dem gr\u00fcnen Hochhaus. 2 Fu\u00dfminuten, maximal. \/ Getting There:<\/strong> You cannot miss it. The bus from Morioka to Tsunagi crosses a bridge and stops at the other side at a Family Mart. Just follow the street uphill. The hotel is the green building on the right side. Just 2 minutes of walk.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Nachtrag:<\/strong> Wie immer findet ihr die Hotels auch bei Tripadvisor. Die durchschnittliche Bewertung entspricht nicht meinem Eindruck. Ich w\u00fcrde durchgehend eine Note h\u00f6her bewerten. Allerdings sind meine Anspr\u00fcche auch etwas anders, als die eines normalen Touristen. Ich werde mich demn\u00e4chst wieder um die „mehr Japan“-Seiten k\u00fcmmern. Dann gibt es einen Stapel links f\u00fcr Hotel- und Ryokan-Reservierungen. \/ By the way … Like always, you’ll find all the hotels at tripadvisor. The average rating doesn’t match my rating. Maybe I am not the average tourist. I would rate always a half level higher.
